Book Blitz and Giveaway! End Note, The Six #2 by Sonya Loveday

Being stranded in L.A. wasn’t the best start to Jared Jackson’s music career. In fact, it should have been the forewarning that things were not what he thought they’d be. Especially when he’s collected from the airport by the band manager’s sharp-tongued niece.
The draw for Jared is immediate. In his heart, he knows Skylar Murphy is the girl for him. Proving it to her, however, is a whole other story.
As new friendships are forged with his bandmates, Jared learns that the guys are planning to start their own band, effectively severing their band manager’s control.
With his future in peril, Jared’s dream spirals in a tailspin as secrets and lies sweep him into a dangerous life.
One he wasn’t prepared for… and one he can no longer escape from.
Will Jared rise above the destruction or will his new circumstances be his undoing?
Find out in the next installment of The Six Series, End Note, a new-adult romance.

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that 'there's got to be something more'.
The dream came alive in 2009 when she purchased her laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author.
When she's not reading, she's writing. When she's not writing, she's reading. And when she's not doing either of those things she's sleeping, shuttling her children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house.

Book Blitz! Lost Energy, Energy Series #2 by Lynn Vroman

Last spring, Lena discovered who she was.

Now all she wants to do is move on—and find a way to be with Tarek, the new Warden of Arcus and the love of her life. Even though worlds separate them now, she holds onto the hope they’ll be together again. Until then, Lena focuses on being truly happy for the first time in her life…this life. She has new friends, an apartment free from her abusive father, and the chance to live a normal life.

But for Lena, the past never stays gone.

A woman from another lifetime reveals Cassondra, Exemplian’s new authority commander, is seeking revenge against Tarek for killing her brother. There is only one way to end this new threat…

This time, it will take more than Wilma to keep the monsters away. It’ll take an entire army–an army who remembers Lena from her past life, and who might just want her dead, too.

Lena’s past will shape her future more than she could ever imagine.

Fear cured most things. Hunger, thirst…hope. It filled me up until it ate my insides, burrowing deep into my psyche to remind me I was a piece of shit.

A failure.

I left them there, killed a mother and her child because I wasn't strong enough.

My eyelids, heavy and thick, refused to lift, forcing me to see their faces–Cara and her precious baby girl screaming for us, needing us. And we just left them. My mind replayed the same image of those lights swallowing them up, disintegrating them to ash.

Wake up!

My eyes shot open and pain lanced my brain. The static was gone, but the memories of it a dull, throbbing reminder. I tried to breathe, but panic forming in my throat made it difficult to do properly. Hyperventilating created clouds of dizziness. I tried to get up, but slammed back onto a floating surface as soft as velvet. When my movement made the swaying worse, I rolled to the edge of a bed and released all the dried apricots and fish from my stomach.

A bucket scooted under the vomit stream, the heaves so violent I almost fell to the floor. Warm hands held me up and pulled back my hair as I emptied the last of my stomach's contents, leaving a hole so big I wanted to disappear in it, escape everything.

Sobs filled the room, distant at first, but then blaring right inside my head, almost as loud as the Guides' attack. Moisture coated my face, coming from my eyes, my nose…my mouth. I couldn't do it anymore

I couldn't.

"Shhh…I'm here, you're safe."

Familiar safety of soft arms held tighter, the smell of vanilla pushing past the pain.

Wilma.

I clung to her, not opening my eyes again, not wanting to face reality. Ever. She didn't force me and held on until the very last sob escaped. Until nothing was left.

I wanted to go home, forget everything.

I killed them.

My head stayed nestled in the crook of her arm. She rocked me, stroked my hair. Said words I didn't bother to try to comprehend. I cleaved to her voice. Too much. All of it had become too much. I couldn't deal anymore.

Take me home!

Oblivion rescued me again. This time, blackness gave me peace.

Cover Reveal! Chasing Me ~ Losing Us ~ Finding You, Sex On The Beach Series by Jennifer Probst ~ Jen McLaughlin ~ Jenna Bennett

  ChasingMe_Final

Quinn and James' Story Continues in Chasing Me... It was supposed to be a love story.... I knew she was out of my league but I didn’t care. Looking back, I wonder if I hadn’t pursued her, would things have turned out differently? Is it Fate that determines our choices in life? God? Free will? Or just plain old innate selfishness? I got her, of course. There hadn’t been a girl I wasn’t able to seduce. Problem was she seduced me right back, body, mind, and soul. She possessed me, tormented me, and showed me a world that was so bright and pure I was almost blinded. Didn’t she know after such a drug I could never settle for less? Didn’t she realize no matter how many times I screwed up, or broke her heart, or bent her to my will, I’d never be able to let her go? If I hadn’t known such intensity existed, would it have been better for both of us? True love, the real kind, isn’t nice and sweet and pure. No, it’s dirty, and sinful, and messy. It’s like ripping a chunk of flesh from your body and watching yourself bleed out in slow, helpless intervals until you thankfully pass out. This isn’t a love story. But it’s the only story I got.

Mackenzie Forbes was everything I ever wanted and the one person I didn't deserve. When a past mistake costs me the girl I love, I'll do everything I can to get her back. We both have demanding careers and family secrets darkening our pasts, but I need Mackenzie in my future.
Sometimes everything you have to give just isn't enough...

FindingYou

Sex on the Beach, the do-over. I had a simple plan for what to do in Key West the second time around. Testify at the trial of the rapist I helped catch last year. Make sure he gets locked away for the rest of his natural life, so he can never, ever hurt another girl. Wait for my BFFs to get to town, so we can celebrate. And stay far away from Ty Connor, because three months after breaking up with him, I still don’t know whether being with him is worse than being without him. Spring Break, take two. All of the above? Out the window. Turns out testifying is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Not only is the rapist I helped catch last year not locked away for the rest of his life, he’s on the loose and looking for me. Oh yeah, and it’s definitely harder being without Ty than being with him, especially when I have to watch him with someone else. Welcome to my world.

Book Promo: Excerpt & Giveaway! Fatal Obsession, Harden #1 by Lynn Stookes

Genre: Adult, Romance
Kylie Delaney had the perfect life until one night changed everything. Now she’s moving back to her hometown to escape the pain and start over, but someone won’t let her forget the past.

Detective Blake Winters moved back to his hometown to escape the violence of the city, but when bodies start showing up murdered, he questions his decision. That is until the girl he wanted as a teenager moves in across the street. Then all bets are off.

Now, Kylie must face the past with Blake, the one man who broke her young heart. Can they explore a new relationship and both stay alive as they search for the person behind the murders?

Sitting in the car, I wait for her to leave the house. She gets into her black car waiting in the driveway and drives away. Today, there seems to be an extra bounce to her step. I’ve been watching her for weeks. Sticking to her routine, she leaves for work the same time every morning and arrives home the same time every evening. Today is no different.

Once I’m positive she’s far enough away, I look around at my surroundings to see if anyone is watching me. Satisfied no one will see me, I climb out of my truck and rapidly walk across the street and around to the back of the house. I reach the back door and pull out the key I stole months ago. The dog growls from the other side of the door. The first time I entered the house, she caught me off guard and actually bit me. Having learnt my lesson, I pull out the tranquilizer gun I bought. Swinging the door open, I aim and shoot the dog. She whimpers before hitting the ground.

I enter the house and shut the door behind me and quickly entering the security code. Unhurriedly, I walk through the house, running my hands over her things as I make my way upstairs to her bedroom. Last week, I spent time in the attic and found her childhood journals. She’d never miss them, so I took them with me and have been reading about every piece of her life.

Opening the door to her room, I walk towards the bed and pick up her pillow, bringing it to my face to inhale the sweet smell of strawberries from her shampoo. I’ve been collecting every bit of information I can about her. After I place the pillow back on the bed, I walk into the bathroom to find out which products she uses, so I’ll be prepared when she comes to me. I open the cabinet underneath the sink and look around at the products when I see it. A pink box sticks out at the back of the cabinet. My heart starts racing. No, she can’t be. I grab the box to see it’s been opened and one is missing. Throwing the box on the ground, I search the trash can next to the sink and find what I’m looking for.

Fuck. This is going to ruin everything. She’s supposed to be mine after this is all over. How are we going to handle this? I pace the small bathroom as I think.

Suddenly, an idea hits me and I smile. I’m going to make her mine. One way or another. SHE WILL BE MINE.

Book Promo: Excerpt & Giveaway! Smokescreen by Ahren Sanders

Genre: Adult, Romance

Stella Sullivan

Bright. Dedicated. Loyal.

The day I walked into his boardroom, I had no idea my life was about to change forever. It was supposed to be a simple proposal that would catapult my career. The chance to help Hurst & McCoy save one of their flailing business lines seemed simple enough. However, I never expected that one look at Maxwell McCoy would have me grasping for control. He’s demanding, charming, powerful; most of all he’s beautiful, inside and out. As hard as I fought against the attraction, he broke down my defenses. But he’s hiding things. Even when secrets, lies, and greed threaten everything I have worked so hard for, I couldn’t walk away. There’s no denying, the moment my eyes landed on Maxwell McCoy was the moment I became his.

Maxwell McCoy

Rich. Brilliant. Powerful.

People only see me as CEO of Hurst & McCoy. The ruthless businessman whose mere presence demands respect. People don’t know I chose to leave a life I loved in order to protect my father’s legacy and reputation. When my company’s future was threatened, I had no choice but to seek assistance. The day Stella Sullivan walked into my boardroom was the day my heart started beating again. One business proposal, from the topaz-eyed beauty, changed my life. She tried to deny our unyielding chemistry, but I wouldn’t. I should let her go, but I didn’t.

The smokescreen I created soon comes crashing down, forcing me to fight for everything I love.

Stella groans lightly and rolls over. I’ve been watching her from my desk for half an hour, trying not to wake her. But as soon as she realizes my side of the bed is empty, she sits up dazed. Her head turns toward the bathroom and then turns to me.

“What are you doing?” she asks sleepily.

“Working a bit.”

“What time is it?”

“A little after seven.”

“Why the hell are you up? Do you ever sleep?” She falls back onto my bed and the sheets slip down her naked body.

I jump to my feet and make my way to her side of the bed in a second. “Yeah, I slept, then I worked out, showered, and decided to work until you woke up.”

“You worked out? Showered? What the hell is wrong with you? I thought we weren’t going anywhere this morning.”

She throws an arm over her eyes and I take the opportunity to kiss the skin up to her elbow, then pull her arm down so she has no choice but to look at me.

“I didn’t go anywhere. I have a home gym down the hall. I showered because I was gross, and we are staying here this morning. We have a meeting at ten, but until then, it’s us.”

“You have a home gym? Where?”

“Yeah, babe, there’s about two thousand square feet you’ve not seen yet. Two more rooms and a gym.”

“What?”

“Babe, you’ve only been here a few times, I haven’t had time to show you.”

“This is a whole lot of information for me this early, without coffee. Remember I’m not a morning person.”

“So you keep saying, but I love proving you wrong.” I kiss her softly and slide my hand under the sheets and down until it reaches her pelvic bone.

My fingertips run lightly back and forth from hipbone to hipbone until her breath catches. Every time I hear that small sound, I know she’s getting turned on. Then my hand slinks lower to her slick heat and I press one finger in, sliding her wetness back and forth. “You are the best morning person I know.”

“That’s because you give me orgasms before my coffee.”
