‘It’s not hard to sacrifice for the one you love,
Once you find the one to sacrifice everything for.’
From the depths of their love comes misery, despair and heartache. For he loves her like no other and she him but they are told that their love can never be.
Brock and Taren’s love was as innocent as their childhoods but as they grew so did it. Their families were far from friends. Brock from the ‘Blue Collar’ side of the track. Taren grew up in wealth and privilege. But that didn’t matter to them as they were oblivious to anything but their friendship.
Brock’s determination causes him to devise a plan to have what is his, what was always meant to be but, will it be the end for him and Taren? Will his sacrifice cost too much?
A Modern day ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with a twist.
Taren
He lifts me with ease, carrying me the few steps over to the cot and carefully lays me down. His mouth finds mine again as he pulls up on the hem of my silky shirt, his calloused fingers feeling rough on my skin, sending chills through my body. God, I love it. I love him. I raise up as he lifts it off my head and stare into his eyes. He reaches behind me, and I feel my breasts spring free when he unclasps my bra. Slowly, he slides each strap over my shoulders and then down my arms, all the while our eyes never leaving contact. Then for a moment he looks down at my breasts. I should feel shy, even though he’s seen them before, but something about the intenseness of the moment, everything that’s happened making me bold and carefree. I smile as I lift up his shirt, watching the plains of his flat stomach appear, the tightness of his abs and his broad chest. He helps to remove it, grasping it from his back and pulling it over his head. His skin has a bronze glow, kissed from the sun, and soft to my touch. His peck twitches as I trace around his nipple with my finger. I’ve always thought he was good looking growing up, gorgeous and sexy, my heart skipping a beat every time I saw him. But now? He’s beyond that. He’s so much more.
Brock
I run my hand over her head, down her long hair, soothingly, knowing she loves when I do it. I keep doing it until her eyes blink a little. “I know, baby. Life has had a way to try to come between us. We’re stronger. We’re meant to be together and I won’t let anything tear us apart. Together, we can get through anything. I think we’ve proven that time and time again.” I reach up and flick her cute nose with my finger and smile.
Vicki enjoys reading Romance books which is what inspired her to begin writing. As a reader, she loves being taken away, to some other place and time, falling in love with the characters. She has always admired Author’s dedication and hard work. She had a dream that played out for over a year, came home one day after work and decided to put it on a word document to see how it read and that became ‘My Savior Forever’, the beginning of her Forever Series, her first book, and that’s where it all began.
