Cover Reveal: Excerpt & Giveaway! Secret by Kindle Alexander

Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: Summer 2015

Tristan Wilder, self-made millionaire and devastatingly handsome CEO of Wilder-Nation is on the verge of a very lucrative buyout. With tough negotiations ahead, he's armed with his acquisition pitch, ready to launch the deal of a lifetime. There’s just one glitch. The last thing he expects is to fall for the hot business owner he's trying to sway.

Dylan Reeves, computer science engineer and founder of the very successful social media site, Secret, is faced with a life-altering decision. A devoted family man with three kids and a wife, Dylan has been living a secret for years. Fiercely loyal to his convictions, his boundaries blur after meeting the striking owner of the corporation interested in acquiring his company. For the first time in his life, reckless desire consumes him when the gorgeous computer mogul makes an offer he can't refuse.

After a few minutes of staring at Dylan, who hadn’t looked his way since he entered the conference room, Tristan cleared his throat, stopping the flow of the presentation. “Can you all give me a few minutes alone with Mr. Reeves?”
He could feel every eye turned his way. Dylan was slower to respond. He’d been reading from the contract and lifted his head, business clearly on his mind. But the minute their gazes met, Tristan got why Dylan had avoided eye contact. His gaze held a mixture of both heat and need. Sparks flew between the two of them and Tristan smiled.
“You heard him,” Landry said and began shooing everyone out. As the last person left, Landry came to the center of the table, standing between the two of them. He clearly thought Tristan’s request hadn’t included him.
“Landry, I need a private discussion with Mr. Reeves,” Tristan said, rising from his seat at the end of the table. Landry came immediately to him, standing in front of him, blocking Dylan from seeing or hearing anything he said.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Landry whispered so quietly Tristan barely heard him. “We almost have them, I can see it.”
Tristan cut his eyes over to Landry’s and motioned with his head for him to move along out the door with everyone else. Landry’s brow furrowed and he started to shake his head. Tristan stared at him with intense attitude until he finally left the room. Tristan had no doubt he’d stand right outside that door. There wasn’t too much of Wilder, Inc. that Landry wasn’t included in, and he certainly wouldn’t like being put out of a meeting he’d orchestrated. Tristan moved to a chair directly beside Dylan who hadn’t uttered a single word since his request for privacy.
“You look nice today,” Tristan said quietly, smiling as Dylan’s cheeks grew red.
“Is that why you made everyone leave?”
“No, of course not. I could have just told you later, but that whole look’s perfect on you. The hair’s hot. Pinstripes fit your frame remarkably well. You look taller, more intimidating. Great look for negotiations or the cover of GQ. You could do both.” Tristan scooted closer. “Did you get my flowers?” he asked even quieter.
“I did. Thank you, but that was a risky move,” Dylan said, clearly ignoring the compliment.
“I wrote and sealed the card myself. What did you do with the flowers?” Tristan leaned forward, then moved in a little more, smelling Dylan’s cologne. That had Dylan pushing back in his chair.
“I gave them to the concierge that helped me this morning,” Dylan answered and then backtracked. “I didn’t think I’d be in my room very much and didn’t want them to go to waste.”
“I figured you’d do something like that. It’s why I picked those colors. So that means you’re coming with me tonight?” Tristan asked, his eyes still focused directly on Dylan’s.
“We’ll see how things go today. I’m not sure about all this. You lowballed me and I was just reading about the staffing…” Dylan started, but Tristan lifted a hand to Dylan’s lips to stop his words. He let his fingers linger as he spoke.
“I don’t want to talk business yet. I honestly was only informed of the changes to personnel when I walked in today. From this point forward, you and I will decide how this sale goes, no one else, but before we do, I want to put personal before business because they are two separate entities between us. Will you please go with me tonight? I need to cancel some things if you’re not coming,” Tristan added at Dylan’s skeptical look.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

Book Blitz! Bittersweet, Faerie Song Trilogy #2 by Michele Barrow-Belisle

To save the Faery world and her mother’s life, seventeen year old Lorelei sacrificed everything, and the dangerous bargains she made in Nevermore had lasting repercussions. Now safely back in her own world, Lorelei seems the same to her high school friends and her supernatural boyfriend, despite the dark magic growing within her. Love across dimensions is complicated, especially when an invisible veil between the two worlds is sealing, threatening to separate Lorelei and Adrius forever.

Determined to find a solution, Lorelei resorts to exploring her new found powers. But when her friends fall ill, and her healing touch only makes things worse, Lorelei can’t help but wonder if she's responsible.

Nightmares from the Nevermore tighten their icy hold when someone arrives determined to destroy Lorelei’s world, starting with those closest to her. Once again she’s forced to choose between her family… her friends… and a love that was ill-fated from the start.

“Stay. Just…. Stay.” The second I said it I felt awful. What was I asking? I knew he couldn’t stay, that he needed to return to his world to stay alive in mind.

Since the night of the dance we’d carefully stayed away from discussing our little predicament. We were still at a standoff. He couldn’t live in my world without magical aids to keep him alive, because of the toxic nature of our polluted air, and I couldn’t go back to his world, because of a bunch of angry beings trying to kill me. That left us here. He would have to return to his world and refuel, to come back to mine. How long the potions lasted depended upon how much stress he was under. Physical exertion, extreme emotions all used up the reserve more quickly. Then there was the issue of his still being tied to Venus, the daughter of the ice witch I killed. A curse had caused his forced fealty to her. Killing the witch was not only supposed to save Mythlandria from her destructive wrath, it was also supposed to free Adrius of the curse that bound him to the ice witch’s commands. Who knew there was a daughter who would take over the bonds, and that she was also his ex-girlfriend.

Now she wants me dead in payment for killing her mother, and as a bonus, I’d be out of the way so she could get Adrius back in her life. That he could come here at all means the curse is weakening. I want his freedom, but at which price? Was I willing to kill for it? I’d have to end her life as well if I was going to destroy the bonds. And I wasn’t a killer. Even Octăhvia’s death was more of an accident than intended. I had no idea what awakening the magic would do, or how to wield it. This arrangement seemed like our only option, for now. And while I hated to see him leave, there was something comforting in being able to pretend that my life was normal again. As normal as it ever was. I could enjoy being back home with friends and back at school which surprisingly enough, I’d missed. It’s amazing how coming to the edge of your life multiple times will make even the most mundane routines a welcomed change.

“Think about what you’re asking me,” he said. “You know why I have to leave.”

He watched me suck in a breath of regret, as I wished I could take back my self-serving plea.

Pain creased his eyes. “Sleep soundly, Lorelei,” was all he said. He kissed the top of my head and turned to go.

The tense set of his jaw revealed the effort it took to leave. I watched him walk away, biting down on my lower lip until he reached the driveway.

“How am I supposed to sleep?” My voice was almost too quiet to be heard over the howling wind. But his hearing surpassed most mortal’s.

“Warm milk with honey works well,” he answered my whisper, his back still facing me. “It helps with the night terrors too,” he added.

“You know that’s not what I meant.” I moved closer, descending one step at a time until my bare feet hit the cold of the pavement.

Adrius froze. Electric pulses crackled between us.

“I was talking about sleeping without you. Here.”

“You’ve managed to do it before,” he said cautiously, the strain of his resolve vibrating in his voice.

“I know. But—“

This was wrong. It was selfish. How could I ask him to stay, when I know that leaving is what would keep him alive to return to me?

“I’m sorry. I’m being silly. It’s just I can’t—“

With whipcrack intensity, his resolve burned away and he rushed toward me and pulled me into his arms. His touch burned though my shirt as his hands splayed against my back, pressing us closer. He kissed me, hungrily at first, then it quickly deepened to ravenous. Matching his fervor, I tangled my fingers in his hair. Every inch of me was on fire. He gasped, his lips slowing against mine. By the time we separated, we were both breathless. He leaned his forehead against mine for a few rapid heartbeats, then pulled back. Our eyes remained locked in a palpitating stretch of silence that spoke volumes. My head swirled, and all I wanted was more of where we’d left off.

But he read my intentions. The corners of his lips quirked and he shook his head. Warm hands slid down my arms with one last caress, before he disappeared. Gone so quickly I didn’t actually see him leave. Swallowed by the darkness of the night and the forest that held the secret doorway into Mythlandria.

A dreamer at heart, Michele Barrow-Belisle has always lived with one foot in this reality and one foot in another, one of her own imagining. So it follows that she would grow up to write about the characters from those enchanting worlds she knows and loves so well. A fan of all things romantic, her young adult novels are populated with scintillating witches, vampires and fey. Her bestselling debut book series Fire and Ice (Faerie Song Trilogy) was optioned for a major motion picture this year. Michele resides in southern Canada with her hubby and son who indulge her never-ending obsession with reading, writing and most importantly… chocolate.
She also loves shoes.
Did we mention the chocolate?

Book Promo: Excerpt & Giveaway! Pretty Remedy, Finally Found #2 by S.E. Hall

Envy is a silent, cold-blooded killer, extinguishing a little more life from me every day.

Hitting sharp, fast and seemingly out of nowhere; struck by lightning not a storm cloud in sight... in she rolls. Reece Madison, a force to be reckoned with, head of the class- which means one thing- she's out of mine.

"You're wasting your time Rhett Foster. Locks have keys and walls can be climbed. I'm not buying your cold, skeptical act for one minute."

And then there's that...

But as much as she compels me to open up, show her what no one else gets to see…there’s guilty shadows lurking in the depths of her eyes that she cannot hide.

It always happens the same way, every time. The second I finish coming, the blip of exhilaration dissipates, and I’m left feeling vapid and angry. I turn my back on my latest conquest and, blocking out the images of insincere, physical satiation, I scurry off like a criminal. Maybe I should quit fucking them.

Or maybe I shouldn’t. The tÃĒte-à-tÃĒtes, and unrequited clinginess as much their fault as my own—more in fact, if everyone’s being honest with themselves. I tell them, straight up, in plain English, no “code” or sidestepping what I’m really saying, that it’s one fuck. I offer absolutely nothing more, and they accept. But women have a specific order and purpose to everything they do. It shouldn’t eat at me when another woman discovers her plan didn’t work, and surprise, she isn’t the one “different” enough to change me.

You want to be the lady worthy of a call the next day, flowers, a ring? Then don’t ride the dick until you get at least one of them. And if you do jump on—gyrating and grinding in what you’re just certain is some mystical, “He’s never had it so good before” kind of way, and it doesn’t work—don’t blame anyone but yourself. Who was really trying to manipulate who?

Book Promo: Excerpt & Giveaway! Beware 2: The Comeback by Shanora Williams

Three years passed.

Long and brutal.

Lonely and sometimes scary.

But he swore he’d find me—that’d he’d do everything to get me back. Well, his word was final. His word was true. He’s back.

Ace Crow: Ruthless. Deadly. Risky. An extremely bad man. I’m everything he’s not. I’m the missing piece to his disturbing puzzle. But he’s mistaken about one thing. No one said getting me back was going to be easy. There are always consequences to ones actions. There are always hidden truths. There is always betrayal.

Things aren’t so simple anymore. My life has changed dramatically. Bringing him back in will only be dragging me back down.

I’m afraid.

I shouldn’t.

But I love him.

A lot.

I’m a fool.

BEWARE, my beating heart.

My eyes welt with thick, hot tears. I lower the phone, rattled, unhinged.

But then I hear the crunch of footsteps along the cool sand. The steps are soft, but I hear them clearly. I look up, spotting a tall silhouette approaching,

It’s late. Ever since what happened in New York, I feel no place is really safe so I start to run back for my house, but the person calls my name.

I halt.

Gasp.

That voice… it’s familiar.

My eyes are the widest they’ve ever been.

“Don’t run. You’re safe,” he murmurs over the howl of the wind. “Turn around.”

My hands are cold but my blood is boiling—whooshing in my ears. My throat tingles. I’m not sure what I’m feeling. But I give in. I turn. I want to believe my eyes have deceived me, but I know they haven’t. They couldn’t have, because in the flesh is the man I fell so dangerously hard for three years ago. In the flesh, is the man that fell for me, the man that sacrificed his life and friends for my sake. The man that is supposed to be dead.

Before me is the man I never thought I’d lay eyes on again.

With his hands tucked in the pockets of his grey slacks, his smile so wickedly handsome beneath the pale moonlight, he deeply murmurs, “It’s been a while, Red.” And I can’t believe myself, my body’s reaction, but from the sound of his highly intoxicating voice I clench like never before.

One last step and I can finally see him clearly. He looks the same, if not better. A little skinny and a little more rugged, like he’s been through hell and back, but better.

Sexier.

Sleeker.

Breathtaking.

“Ace.” I release a sharp gasp. My head spins. My gut churns. My body starts to rock back and forth. I’m losing the battle with gravity.

He realizes what’s happening, that I think I’ve completely lost my mind, because the last thing I hear him say is my name before I fall backwards, my eyes shut, and I fade into darkness.

Double Review, Excerpt & Giveaway! Owen & Nathan Series by Jay Northcote

Amazon / B&N

Five sex-free dates—how hard can it be?
When they were at uni, Owen always had a bit of a crush on Nathan. But Nathan was apparently straight, and Owen was too busy with other guys to take his crush seriously.
When Nathan moves back to Bristol after a year away, Owen hears that Nathan has come out of the closet, and he propositions him. Nathan doesn’t want to be just another notch on Owen’s bedpost, though, so he challenges Owen to prove he can be serious: five dates before they have sex.
Owen doesn’t think that sounds too difficult. He’s expecting Nathan to find his charms irresistible anyway. But as they grow closer, Owen begins to care more about proving himself to Nathan than he does
 about getting him into bed.

Amazon / B&N

Nathan wants to put a ring on it, but is Owen the marrying kind?

Two years on from their first date, Owen and Nathan are living together and life is good—except they’re not on the same page about marriage.
A traditionalist at heart, Nathan wants it all: the wedding, the vows, and a pair of matching rings. Owen, on the other hand, believes marriage is old-fashioned and unnecessary. They don’t need a wedding to prove their commitment to each other. Love should be enough on its own.
All it takes is one moment of weakness on a night out to force the issue. Owen finds himself engaged after a half-drunk proposal, and Nathan’s enthusiasm sweeps him along. But as the big day approaches, the mounting tension finally combusts.
If he’s going to save their relationship, Owen will need to decide once and for all if he’s truly the marrying kind.

The Marrying Kind

“Come on, babe.” Owen slipped his arm around Nathan’s waist and squeezed. The warm weight of Nathan’s arm settling around his shoulders felt good. With the extra few inches of height that Nathan had on him, they fitted together perfectly like this. “I can’t wait to dance with you. It’s been too long since we got down and dirty on the dance floor.”

Their social life usually involved more pubs than clubs, but it was Jack and Simon’s stag do tonight, and dancing was definitely on the agenda.

Simon and Jack were walking in front of them. Jack had his hand in the back pocket of Simon’s skintight jeans, and Simon was cackling at something Jack had just said. They looked so happy.

Owen tugged Nathan closer and leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek. Nathan smiled at him, and Owen grinned back.

Life was good.

The Dating Game
Owen is a little bit of a slut. He doesn’t do relationships but, when his old crush walks back into his life and admits to being gay, Owen has to have him.

Nathan likes Owen, a lot, but he’s not about to be one of his one night stands. If Owen really wants him, he has to prove just how much.

So The Dating Game begins. 5 weeks. 5 dates on Nathan’s terms.

I really liked this book. It’s one of those stories you read with a smile on your face from beginning to end.

Owen is charming, funny, determined and always speaks his mind while Nathan is a little bit more serious, more withdrawn.

The attraction between them is really strong and Nathan’s “no sex” rule suddenly doesn’t seem like a good idea anymore.

Five weeks might seem a too short period to get to know someone but, when it’s the right person, everything just clicks into place. And it’s not like Nathan and Owen were complete strangers. It’s nice to see how they get to know each her again, how they try to make the best out those five dates and find out if what they feel is worth a shot.

Jay’s writing style is really good and my only problem with this book is that it was too short because I was captivated from the beginning and I wasn’t ready for it to end.

Loved it! I highly recommend.

Happy Reading!
~
The Marrying Kind

How long does it take to fall in love?

For Owen and Nathan it took five dates. Now, two years have passed and seeing their best friends tie the knot makes Nathan realize he wants … more.

The problem is that Owen doesn’t do marriage. He doesn’t think he is ready to be tied down in that kind of way.

He loves Nathan so very much, but marriage doesn’t make part of his plans.

One drunken night and he finds himself engaged.

It’s the first time we see another part of Owen. He ceases to be that guy always sure of himself and his insecurities are taking their toll.

Amid marriage plans, family problems and day to day life, Nathan and Owen’s relationship it’s changing and, perhaps, not in a good way.

The pressure is rising and, when it will reach breaking point, it will either make them stronger than ever, or tear them completely apart.

Another sweet, romantic, captivating novel but this is nothing new. Jay’s stories have an addictive effect and once you start reading, it’s difficult to put them down.

Loved it!

Happy Reading!

Jay lives just outside Bristol in the West of England, with her husband, two children, and two cats.

One year after the tragic Boston Marathon bombing, Alexa Williams must overcome horrible memories of that day. She struggles to put her fear aside to meet the challenge of the run. Healing Hands

Will Luke hold onto his rules and let Alexa go, or will they be able to cross the finish line together?

Prologue

Crisp white linens covered Tamlyn’s spread limbs, and soft candlelight cast shadows across her features.

“Harder, Luke, harder. You know I love when you’re rough with me.” She squirmed under my touch, her voice drowning out the soft background music. After two years in our relationship, I was accustomed to her giving me directions.

“Tamlyn, you know I’ll bruise you if I go at you any harder, and you won’t be able to walk tomorrow.” I spoke in a low, even tone, trying not to disrupt our rhythm. Every stroke of my fingers on her bare skin served a specific purpose. Tamlyn liked it hard and fast, but I preferred giving it to her gentle and slow.

“Right now, I don’t care. My body needs this. Needs you. Danny can’t give me what I need anymore.” She opened her eyes to peer up at me. “I’m too used to how you make me feel.”

“Oh, stop, Tam. You and I both know that Danny’s good. I’ve never heard a woman complain about him.” My hands glided over her smooth calves. “His style’s different from mine, but he knows how to get results.”

Tamlyn wasn’t the first woman Danny and I had shared. In fact, we often swapped clients. In our line of business, it was common practice. We thought it was beneficial to the women who came to us.

“I know, but you know my needs and meet them every. Single. Time I see you.” She moaned when I gripped her hips. “I hate when you have to leave town. I seriously can’t survive without seeing you at least once a week.” Tamlyn tilted her hips to increase pressure right where she wanted me. “I even asked my husband, and you know I hate doing that. He tried his very best to do exactly what you taught him, but I swear I only moan so his feelings aren’t hurt.”

“Derek looked like he knew what he was doing when I taught him how to take care of you.”

A few months ago, Tamlyn brought her husband to see me. She wanted him trained to satisfy her body’s needs in my absence.

“Now hush, our time’s almost up, and I’m not through with you yet. I haven’t heard you scream my name,” I said as I moved into position to finish her off.

To gain better leverage for what I planned next, I placed my knee on the edge of the table. As my fingers trailed her inner thighs, Tamlyn squirmed beneath me. This was my favorite part, and I was going to make sure she enjoyed every second of it. As I reached my destination, her moans grew louder.

Then the door to the room slammed against the wall.

“You cheating bastard.” My girlfriend, Jennie, stood in the doorway, red-faced and screaming at the top of her lungs. Before her crazed presence registered in my mind, she lunged for Tamlyn.

All hell broke loose.
